Web of Influence

Web of Influence is a youth-led, statewide interactive activity designed to expose and challenge the manipulative tactics of the tobacco and nicotine industries. Through engaging, hands-on experiences, participants explore how industries use marketing, media, environmental damage, labor exploitation, and targeted advertising to influence individuals and communities—especially youth. Using powerful facts from real public health data, the game reveals the hidden costs of tobacco production, such as child labor, environmental degradation, and the spread of addiction through flavored products and deceptive marketing. “Web of Influence” empowers young people to recognize these connections and encourages them to become advocates for change in their own communities.
